Who I am

World Class Adventures is an independent travel consultancy based in Bideford, North Devon. I operate as a sole trader and an affiliate member of the Hays Travel Independence Group. My website is powered by Holidaysplease, which is part of the Hays Travel group. My registered address is 7 Buckland View, Bideford, Devon, EX39 3TP. I am the data controller for the personal information I collect about you.

What information I collect and why

When you make an enquiry, I collect your name, contact details, and information about the holiday you are considering. I use this to respond to you and to help plan your trip. My lawful basis for this is legitimate interests: you have reached out to me, and it is reasonable for me to follow up.

When you book a holiday with me, I collect additional information including passport details, dietary requirements, and health information relevant to your travel. I need this information to fulfil your booking contract. My lawful basis is the performance of a contract.

I do not hold payment card details. Any payment information is processed at the point of transaction and is not retained on file.

When you subscribe to my newsletter, I collect your name and email address and use these to send you travel news, destination ideas, and occasional offers. My lawful basis for this is your consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email I send, or by contacting me directly.

I am required to keep certain financial records for legal and tax purposes. My lawful basis for this is legal obligation.

Cookies

Who I share your data with

To make your travel arrangements, I may share your details with third-party suppliers including airlines, hotels, tour operators, transfer companies, and travel insurance providers. I only share what is necessary for them to fulfil your booking. Some of these suppliers are based outside the UK. Where that is the case, I take appropriate steps to ensure your data remains protected in accordance with UK GDPR requirements.

Client booking records, including passport details and health or dietary information, are held securely within the Holiday Franchise Company's booking system (CMC), which is operated as part of the Hays Travel group infrastructure. Hays Travel acts as a data processor on my behalf, meaning they hold and store data to my instructions but do not use it for their own purposes. Their data processing practices are governed by the Hays Travel group's own data protection policies.

I also use Brevo to manage my email newsletter list. Their privacy policy is available on their website.

I do not sell your personal data to any third party, and I do not share it for purposes other than those described above or as required by law.

How long I keep your data

Passport details are held securely in CMC and are deleted once the passport they relate to has expired. Health and dietary information relevant to your travel is held securely in CMC for as long as you remain an active client, as it is often relevant to future bookings.

Enquiry and client correspondence records are retained for as long as I have a legitimate business reason to hold them, or until you ask me to delete them. Booking and financial records are kept for seven years in accordance with HMRC requirements. Newsletter subscriber records are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to access the personal information I hold about you, to have inaccurate information corrected, to request that I delete your data in certain circumstances, to restrict how I process it, to receive a copy in a portable format, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where I process your data on the basis of your consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time.

Data protection complaints

If you have a concern about how I have handled your personal data, please contact me in the first instance at privacy@worldclassadventures.co.uk. I will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and aim to resolve it promptly. If you remain dissatisfied, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

I review this policy periodically. If I make significant changes, I will update the date at the top of this page. This policy was last updated in June 2026.
