The Life of A Travel Agent...

Hello all!
I thought I’d give you an insight into what I’ve been up to this week – the life of a travel agent!

I’ve been busy with enquiries for a huge variety of destinations, including Bali, Finland, France, Goa, Greece, India, Japan, Mauritius, Portugal, South Africa, Uganda, and North America!!  Italy, Turkey and Spain remain firm favourites for package holidays, but lots of people are now seeking greater depth and excitement in their travel experiences, and it's gratifying to note that touring and adventure have emerged as rapidly expanding sectors in response to this demand!

I’ve been quoting options for private tours in India, Epic train journeys in Europe and Japan, Road trips across British Columbia and California, African Safaris, Gorilla Trekking, Family beach holidays, Disneyland, Northern Lights in glass igloos, and a Golf Trip for the lads!  

I’ve also been doing lots of training to ensure I always have the latest information when you enquire about a destination.  This week I attended events about Expedition Cruising, and The Caribbean as a destination - it's not all beaches and luxury hotels you know- there are lots of adventure options!

Through my attendance at two networking groups, I have been inspired to explore the idea of providing unique adventure trips to fundraise for Children's Hospice Southwest I am thrilled about this opportunity and look forward to sharing more details in the near future.!

Embarking on a Peruvian Adventure: My Journey to Discover Latin America

I am thrilled to share with you my upcoming journey to Peru, where I will be participating in the Latin Routes Training Academy. This trip is not just an excursion; it's an opportunity for me to deepen my understanding of Peruvian culture, history, and travel offerings while having the adventure of a lifetime.

• A Three-Day Learning Expedition
  • My adventure begins with three days of intensive training at the Latin Routes Training Academy in Lima. Through a combination of destination and product training, supplier networking, and engaging social events, I aim to expand my knowledge and expertise in Latin American travel. And let's not forget about the exciting sightseeing opportunities in Lima – a city bursting with culture and charm.
• Exploring Peru's Treasures: Machu Picchu
  • But the adventure doesn't end there! After the Training Academy, I will embark on an excursion to the legendary citadel of Machu Picchu. This iconic archaeological site has always been on my bucket list, and I can't wait to witness its awe-inspiring beauty firsthand.
• Here's a glimpse of my itinerary:
  • Day 1: Arrive in Lima and delve into the city's rich history with a guided tour. Then, kick off the Training Academy with a Welcome Party, where I'll have the chance to meet fellow travellers and industry experts.
  • Day 2: Dive into a full day of training sessions, soaking up valuable insights into Peruvian travel. The day will culminate in a Gala Dinner, celebrating our shared passion for exploration.
  • Day 3: Conclude my training journey in Lima before setting off for the enchanting city of Cusco. From there, it's time to embark on the adventure of a lifetime – my visit to Machu Picchu.
